Joe is an experienced and innovative PhD Materials Chemist, with strong team working and leadership skills developed in roles in industry and academia. He graduated from Tyndall National institute in 2013 with a PhD entitled ‘Development of large scale colloidal crystallisation methods for the production of photonic crystals’. Joe is skilled in materials analysis (SEM, viscosity, pH, mechanical, optical, and thermal analysis), and is experienced in chemical handling and testing (particulates, adhesives, polymers). Joe has gained expertise in Quality systems and…
Victor is an experienced and innovative PhD Analytical Chemist with strong team working and leadership skills developed through a host of environments. He is skilled in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), GMP, Spectroscopy, Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and GC. Victor holds a Doctor of Philosophy – PhD in Analytical Chemistry from University College Cork. His skills in the preparation of tailor-sized silica based materials and characterisation using SEM, BET, DLS and Zeta potential techniques made him an ideal candidate for the role. Along with technical writing skills, Victor can fluently communicate in 5 languages including English, French, German…
Attending Pittcon 2015? Arrange to meet with us to learn about new materials and technologies that we have for stationary phases of uHPLC/HPLC separations. These include:
Solas™ MonoDense™ a monodense and highly monodisperse fully porous silica particle
Eiroshell™ a highly monodisperse superficially porous silica particle
SiTin™ a customisable sorbent platform for sample preparation
A special word of congratulations to Dr. John Hanrahan, CTO and co-founder of Glantreo who was named in the Analytical Scientist’s Power List (top 40 under 40) of 2014. Click here to see who else made the list.
This represents a recognition by the Analytical Scientist community of the contribution that John has made over the last number of years through Glantreo but more importantly the expected contribution over the coming years.
Glantreo is pleased to announce that Dr. Bradley vanMiddlesworth is joining Glantreo’s research team. Brad will bring his extensive chromatography experience to the team and will be responsible for the development of new media and products in sample preparation and chromatography.
Glantreo announces its development role in the recently introduced Titan™ C18 UHPLC (ultra-high performance liquid chromatography) columns by Supelco®, a leading chromatography company located in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, USA (a division of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri, USA). These revolutionary new Titan uHPLC columns are based on 1.9 μm totally porous, monodisperse silica particles. These particles are the result of a newly developed, patent-pending, Ecoporous™ silica manufacturing process.
The Titan UHPLC columns provide efficiency > 250,000 plates/meter (N/m), comparable to or exceeding leading UHPLC columns. The Ecoporous process delivers a narrow particle size distribution of particles, without the need for further…
ST. LOUIS, Dec. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (SIAL) today announced its Supelco® brand has released Titan UHPLC columns manufactured using the Company’s new cost-efficient, patent-pending Ecoporous™ silica manufacturing process. Starting at a list price of $300, Titan columns contain the first sub-2 micrometer porous silica that is monodisperse and high-performance (>250,000 plates per meter), combining the advantages of solid-core and fully-porous particles.
“The Titan columns’ reduction in the cost to perform UHPLC will not only improve the productivity of pharmaceutical and contract research organizations currently employing UHPLC for medicinal chemistry, toxicology, and clinical manufacturing,…
